Choosing
a Therapist
When
choosing a therapist, look for someone with credentials,
who is well trained, is an experienced practitioner and
who has a credible reputation.
Ask for a brief
interview with the practitioner. Most credible therapists welcome
an introductory interview.
Ask questions
such as:
What
are the therapist's qualifications and training?
Which
organizations do they belong to?
How
long have they been in practice?
How
much do they charge?
How
do they approach confidentiality?
Are
they available after hours?
How
soon is an appointment available? |
